Is there an easy way to make a mirror ball effect? or a plug in for such an effect? I have an idea how to make one, but it's going to be time consuming and I wanted a short cut.
Thanks

Personally, I'd get a camera, a couple of pinspots and a mirror ball and just shoot it. It'll look more real.

I nice cheaty way to make a mirror ball is to use a 3D application. Create a sphere, give it 100% reflectivity and 0% diffuse and use a multi-colored reflection map. Animate the sphere rotating. The real secret is to use flat shading when its time to render. If possible, make sure the sphere is made up of quads instead of triangles (to emulate the little mirrors).

Bring into AE and use inverted Compound Blur for a dazzling groovy disco ball John Travolta would be proud of!
