AE6 new text tool's anti-aliasing is worse!

if you make a text layer and compare the anti-aliasing against a layer using the old effect-based text, the anti-aliasing is smoother (better) with the effect-based text!!

the text tool aliasing is definitely more jagged!!!

(i compared 2 layers, both using Eurostile Extended, 45 points, at best quality (of course)).

is there a way to set anti-aliasing preferences in AE6 (kind of like how you can in Photoshop)?

I discovered this a while ago . . . I think the closest PS anitaliasing equivalent is 'Strong.' I also wish they would add the PS7 style pulldown for AE6 text. . .
